Day 1 September 18, 2019

1. Sweet little ones clapping and singing as we arrived to the Cornerstone Campus. 
2. Our sewing program is up to 18 students!!!
-We need more sewing machines/tables/stools ($300 will provide one sewing machine, table and stool).
3. Derrick, his beautiful wife Carolyn, baby Stephen (who was a newborn when we were here last) and his brother Evans (a recent graduate from our sponsorship program) came to see us and give their greetings to everyone that supports them and their extended family!
4. Sweet Lydiah and Evans leave tomorrow for Electrical Engineering school! We are thankful for their sponsors that continue to support them even though they have graduated! 
5. More of our team was surprised by their new (used, but much upgraded) phones!!!

6. Fabric shopping in the open air market for our next batch of handmade tote bags! 9 beautiful fabrics to choose from, each handmade with love by our sewing students!! Going with our gut instincts and buying fabrics we like most!

7. Heather and I might be wandering through some crazy paths but we are not lost! 

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 8. Brian was a young man we met last June. He has epilepsy and it was so bad that years ago he had a seizure that threw him into a fire and he was badly burned and it damaged his hand severely. He never went back to school but he was eager to contribute to society. I’ve seriously never met a happier young man and he radiates JOY!!! Especially as he graduates next week from our sewing program!!!!!

9. SURPRISE!!! We bought a Motorcycle!!! For our team!!!!

We had 4 sewing students graduate from our program! They each receive a sewing machine, table, stool and sewing kit! It’s THE ONLY PROGRAM OF ITS KIND and we could not be more proud!

We said one final goodbye to the children at Cornerstone School and presented them with school supplies!.
