Join us in Kenya Fall 2026

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send?’…And I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.”-Isaiah 6:8

Stephanie and Christa in 2014 at the site of Give Amore's 2nd clean water well!

Beautiful, heartfelt words from TGD Kenya Founding Director (and mentor to Give Amore Founding Director Christa Horst), Stephanie Rivers regarding her first trip to Kenya in 2008…

The first morning I awoke in Kenya in 2008, I heard incredible bird song and rhythmic tribal drums beating in the distance. I was captivated and crept to my window (hoping no one out there would see me) and peered out through beautiful and dense foliage and held my breath. God was breathing. God had brought me. The pleasure of His Perfect Presence invigorated my soul to give Him glory for His vibrant creation. I am always at home in Jesus.

Just eighteen short years later, I am poised to return, God willing. I am praying God handpick His Love Bearers and Messengers to join me on a ten day excursion in October 2026 into the lush and beautiful southwest Kenya, to Shibuli, Emusanda, and Isongo…to greet Bishop Titus, the Give Amore Team, and revisit the TrinityGlobal Development building begun in 2009/2010. It isn’t a cheap trip! As much as 5000 USD even before bringing extra to share there. “Who will go? Whom shall I send?” Here I am. Send me.

Things have undoubtedly modernized in the last decade. Former tiny villages grew into little cities. Large China-created broad roadwaysappeared crisscrossing the continent as rich corporations mine the precious resources. Americans on safari have likely brought their dollars improving access to services for tourists. The big grocery stores, at least during my former years of service, increased dramatically with extensive inventories. Still, the remote areas find little children thirsting with limited or distant access to water, localwells aging out with contamination, villagers suffering preventable sickness or disease and so many possibilities for improvements to daily life, like a supply of shoes that could protect growing feet from jiggers. The larger system is relatively unconcerned at worst and overwhelmed, at best. Visitors get to stay in hotels with security, safe water, breakfast buffets.

We can bring fellowship and validation. Join me! We can say, “We see you.” We can arrive together and bring a fresh experience to our spirit, soul and body. Eye to eye. Face to face. To all the families and small churches, “You are not alone. God loves you. God sees you. Our infirmities and sorrows are carried by Our Creator, God above all gods. The One True God.” God honoring love.

Are you ready to lay down your life, take up your cross, and follow Jesus? Are you ready to share with others what God has given you? Ajourney to Kenya is not about your culture, your comfort, or your self-care. It isn’t your personal special moment. It is courage, care and communion. It is real life. Hot and different. Eleanor Franklin said, “Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you CAN do. Consider our brothers and sisters, the body of Christ around the world, where perhaps all the local neighbors need a little support from someone outside of their system. We are all One Body of Christ Jesus. Eternally living for His Glory. We can encourage one another that Jesus is alive and He is coming again! And share the good news with everyone who may not know that the perfect sacrifice of Jesus paid for all our sin and we can trust Him to bring us to God forever. Make plans. Save up. Pack your bags. Let God be exalted. We are always at home in Jesus, wherever we go.

From Thirst to Hope: Help Bring Clean Water to a Community in Need

In Elwaminyi Village, the promise of a better tomorrow is within our grasp. For years, families here have faced a daily struggle for one of life’s most basic needs—clean water. Their main source is a distant stream, often cloudy and unsafe. A small spring nearby offers a trickle of water so slow that filling a single 10-litre bucket can take half an hour. This is the water they drink, cook with, and depend on for survival.

Yet, despite these hardships, the people of Elwaminyi remain strong. Mothers rise before dawn to begin the long walk for water. Children, instead of sitting in classrooms, carry heavy containers under the hot sun. Illness from waterborne diseases is common, but so is resilience.

Imagine the transformation when clean, safe water flows freely in the heart of this community. Women will have more time for their families and livelihoods. Children will return to school, their futures no longer limited by the daily search for water. Health will improve, and hope will grow.

With your help, this vision can become reality. We are raising $4,000 to build a new well that will serve hundreds of households. This will be our 49th well, continuing a program that has already quenched thirst, saved lives, and helped communities thrive. Every contribution—whether large or small—brings us closer to this life-changing goal.

Join us in writing the next chapter for Elwaminyi Village. Together, we can turn hardship into hope, and hope into lasting change. Please donate today and be part of this transformation.

Hope in Every Stitch, Pauline’s amazing Story

Meet Pauline, 30, a mother of three whose vibrant spirit and determination prove that hard work can truly change a life. Just a year ago, she enrolled in our free tailoring school, pouring her heart into mastering every stitch and technique. Her commitment paid off — she graduated with distinction.

Wasting no time, Pauline turned her dream into reality. Only weeks after graduation, she opened a home-based tailoring shop — something she once thought impossible. She speaks with heartfelt gratitude about how the training, skills, and equipment she received have opened doors she never imagined.

In her remote, low-lying village, Pauline once faced each day with uncertainty. Today, from her small living room, she radiates hope and determination. Specializing in women’s and children’s clothing and offering all-round repairs, she is not only building a thriving business but also inspiring others to believe in their own potential.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of donors like you. Thank you for making stories like Pauline’s possible.

Onto Another Year: Stepping Forward in Faith and Purpose

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
— Jeremiah 29:11

Happy New Year 2026! As we step into a brand new year, we do so with hearts overflowing with gratitude for the journey behind us and hope for the road ahead. Every challenge we overcame, every life we touched, and every prayer we shared in the past year has prepared us for this moment. Now, we look forward with renewed strength, ready to embrace fresh opportunities to serve, inspire, and transform lives.

Our mission remains steadfast — to bring lasting, positive change to our brothers and sisters around the globe through sustainable projects and acts of love. We believe in empowering communities, not just for today, but for generations to come. This is why we hold firmly to the principle of teaching more people how to fish, so they can feed themselves and their families for a lifetime.

Beyond meeting physical needs, we are committed to sharing the gospel through kindness and compassion. Every outreach, every project, and every act of service is an opportunity to reflect God’s love and invite more people into His growing family. We know that true transformation begins in the heart, and we are humbled to be part of that journey.

We also recognize that this year begins in the midst of economic challenges for many. Yet, we choose to stand in faith, believing that brighter days are ahead. We trust that God will continue to guide, provide, and open doors — for those we serve and for those who walk alongside us in this mission.

As we move forward into another year, we are inspired by the resilience of the communities we serve, the dedication of our team, and the unwavering support of friends like you. Together, we will plant seeds of hope that will grow into a harvest of opportunity, dignity, and faith.

From our families to yours, we wish you a happy, blessed, and abundant year ahead. May 2026 be filled with peace, joy, and God’s unfailing grace — and may it be the year where dreams take root and flourish.

It's Back to School in Kenya

At Give Amore, we begin this year with hearts full of gratitude for your unwavering support. Your generosity has been a constant source of hope, and as we step into this new chapter, we look forward to a year overflowing with joy, love, and opportunities to make a difference together.

In Kenya, the school gates have opened once again, and the excitement is palpable. Thanks to God’s provision and your kindness, every one of our sponsored children is ready to embrace the new term with confidence. They are equipped with all the essentials—stationery, brand-new uniforms, textbooks, exercise books, toiletries, and other necessities that will help them thrive in their studies.

Even more importantly, their school fees for the entire semester have been paid in full. This means they can focus entirely on learning, free from the stress and uncertainty that financial challenges often bring. For many of these children, this stability is a rare and precious gift.

None of this would be possible without you. Your support is not just meeting immediate needs—it is planting seeds for a brighter future. We pray that God continues to protect these children, bless them with good health, and grant them the wisdom and determination to pursue their dreams now and for years to come. Thank you for walking alongside them on this journey.

Blessings on More Blessings

At Made with Amore tailoring school, every graduation is more than a ceremony — it’s a celebration of courage, resilience, and new beginnings. This month, we rejoice as five more remarkable young women completed six months of intensive embroidery training. Each graduate left with a sewing machine in hand — not just a tool, but a gateway to independence, creativity, and a brighter future.

For their final showcase, these talented women designed and stitched dresses of their own choosing, modeling them with pride and joy. These dresses are more than fabric and thread — they are woven with stories of perseverance, hope, and the second chance they have embraced. They will forever serve as reminders of their journey at Give Amore and the transformation they have achieved.

The paths that led them here were not easy. Some have endured the pain of broken, violent marriages, carrying scars both seen and unseen. Others were forced to abandon their education due to poverty or early marriages, yet they never let go of their dream to learn and create.

Today, they stand tall — skilled, confident, and ready to take on the world. They are living proof that when opportunity meets determination, lives can be rebuilt and futures can be rewritten. And as they step forward, they carry not only the tools to build their own success but also the power to inspire others to rise, dream, and believe

Give Hope, Give Joy, Give Love this Giving Tuesday!

Give, and you will receive, your gift will return to you in full-pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap.-Luke 6:38

Dear Partner,

Generosity has a ripple effect and this verse reminds us of the abundance that follows a giving heart! When we open our hands to give, we also make room to receive more from God!

Today is Giving Tuesday. And it comes on the heels of me sending over a wire yesterday for our December and January expenses of 1/2 the school fees, school supplies, school uniforms, food provision a Christmas meal and salaries. This wire zeroed out our account and it doesn’t cover everything.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to help support our sponsorship program! Your donations cover education for children that would never have the opportunity to better their futures!

This Giving Tuesday/Christmas Season, would you consider a one-time or recurring donation?

  • -$100 to cover a child’s food provision for 2 months

  • -$500 to cover school fees of an elementary aged child

  • -$750 to cover the school fees of a middle school child

  • -$1000 to cover the school fees of a child in high school

  • -Any amount to help bridge the gap in our sponsorship program

Many of our early sponsors chose to support the children when they were younger but as their sponsored child aged, they stopped their support. We have not dropped a single child from our programs since our inception and have used general funds to make up the shortfall. But it’s always tight, it’s always scary and it’s always at the last moment.

Every donation creates a ripple of hope in the lives of others and your continued partnership ensures that we can continue to help those that need it most!

Thank you for believing in this work. Thank you for supporting us on this mission to give hope, give joy and give love.

With gratitude and expectation,

Christa Horst

Give Amore Founding Director

THIS THANKSGIVING, YOUR IMPACT SHINES BRIGHT

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
— Psalm 107:1

This Thanksgiving, we’re celebrating more than a holiday — we’re celebrating you. Your generosity, your belief in our mission, and your willingness to take action have turned hope into reality for so many.

Because of you, children are sitting in classrooms instead of walking miles for water. Families are drinking safely from clean wells in their own communities. Women are learning new skills, starting businesses, and providing for their families with confidence and pride.

You’ve shown us that when people come together with compassion and purpose, change isn’t just possible — it’s unstoppable. Every milestone we’ve reached this year carries your influence, and every life touched is a testament to your commitment.

This season, we’re not only thankful for what we’ve accomplished together, but also for the brighter future we’re building side by side. Your support is more than a gift — it’s a legacy of hope that will ripple through generations.

Looking ahead, we are filled with courage and excitement. The future holds new opportunities to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and create lasting change. We know there will be hurdles, but we also know that with partners like you walking alongside us, every challenge will be met with resilience, creativity, and faith. The best chapters of this journey are still ahead, and we are grateful to be writing them with you.

From our hearts to yours, we honor you, we celebrate you, and we wish you and your loved ones a joyful, blessed, and hope-filled Thanksgiving. May this season remind us all of the power of gratitude, the beauty of giving, and the unstoppable force of love in action. May your Thanksgiving be filled with the same joy, warmth, and inspiration you’ve given to so many others.

FROM THIRST TO HOPE: WATER OVERFLOWING

Water is life — without it, there is no life. And today, we celebrate a powerful reminder of what love, generosity, and faith can achieve. Because of your unwavering support, our 48th clean water well now stands complete and blessed, bringing life and hope to the community of Mwirache.

For years, the people of Mwirache endured the hardship of drawing water from streams and, at times, stagnant ponds. This daily struggle brought with it the constant threat of waterborne diseases, overwhelming medical costs, and even heartbreaking loss of life. Yet, in the face of these challenges, hope was never completely lost — and now, that hope has been rekindled in the most tangible way.

This well is more than a source of clean water; it is a symbol of transformation. It means children can grow up healthy and dream bigger. It means the people no longer have to walk long distances each day, freeing their time for education, work, and building a better future. It means a community once burdened by survival can now focus on thriving.

When the first drops of clean water flowed, the air was filled with song, dance, and praise to God. The joy was not just for the water itself, but for what it represents — a future free from the fear of disease, a future where dignity is restored, and a future where generations will benefit from this gift.

Dear partner, this is the impact of your generosity. You have not only quenched thirst but also ignited hope, restored health, and inspired a brighter tomorrow. The 48th well is a milestone, but it is also a stepping stone toward even greater change. Together, we can continue to bring life where it is needed most.

JOIN US TODAY IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Every day, in rural communities across Kenya, there are people with dreams, talents, and untapped potential — but without the resources and opportunities to bring them to life. At Give Amore, we believe that lasting change begins when we equip communities with the tools, skills, and resources they need to thrive. And because of supporters like you, we are already seeing transformation take root.

Our mission is built on four pillars that address both immediate needs and long-term empowerment:

Education – We believe education is the foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty. By supporting needy Children by providing school learning materials, school fees, food supply and creating opportunities for both children and adults, we open doors to knowledge, confidence, and a brighter future.

Skills Training – In today’s world, digital literacy is no longer optional. Our free community computer training programs are bridging the digital divide, giving young people and adults the skills they need to compete in the job market, start businesses, and connect with the wider world.

Clean Water Wells – Access to safe, clean water is a basic human right. By drilling and maintaining community wells, we are improving health, reducing the spread of waterborne diseases, and freeing women and children from the daily burden of walking long distances to fetch water. This means more time for education, work, and family.

Tailoring Training – Through our free community tailoring programs, we are empowering individuals — especially women — to create sustainable livelihoods. These skills not only provide income but also foster independence, dignity, and the ability to support their families.

These initiatives are not just projects; they are lifelines. They restore dignity, open pathways to self-reliance, and create ripple effects that benefit entire communities for generations. Already, we have seen children staying in school longer, families enjoying better health, and individuals starting small businesses that uplift their neighbors.

But the need is still great. Many villages remain without clean water. Many young people still lack access to education or the skills needed to secure meaningful work. Many women still face limited opportunities to earn an income and support their families.

This is where you come in. Join us today in making a difference. Your support — whether through donations, volunteering, or simply sharing our mission — helps us reach more people, change more lives, and build a brighter, more hopeful future. Together, we can turn hope into reality. Together, we can ensure that no dream is left unfulfilled simply because of where someone was born.

Well #48 Almost Complete!

The good work of providing clean safe water to communities across western Kenya gained yet another boost after Give Amore embarked on sinking its 48th well all thanks to your thoughtful giving towards this cause. The well soon to be unveiled and commissioned will impact tens of families greatly through poverty mitigation and massive eradication of waterborne diseases.

The well is strategically located in the village of Shianda. During the inception of the project, our team traversed the area and came to terms first hand with the difficulties women and children face just to get this precious commodity home. Despite the long distance and tiring terrain, the saddest bit was that the water collected was never enough to cater to a family’s needs.

Through your involvement in this worthy cause, you have helped create a pathway to possible sustainable economic growth through agriculture, and also allow children to go back to school instead of collecting dirty water all day. This goes a long way in breaking the cycle of poverty in the lives of many in this locality.

We are Making a Great Impact - Agneta's Story

Meet Agneta (15), orphaned at a tender age of four and from a deprived background. This girl has seen it all from sleeping with an empty belly, dropping out of school, lack of clothing and so much more ills life can throw at a person, but still her resilience and determination keeps her adorable smile on and eye on a better tomorrow.

Her hope is fueled by your dedicated support that supplements her diet monthly, pays for her school fees and supplies every semester and so much more priceless support. She dreams to becoming a nurse when she grows up and help guide children like her to a hopeful tomorrow.

She is one of many lives impacted daily by the generous donors that support our sponsorship program.

Thankful for a New Motorbike-A Great Boost for Serving

We are so happy to acquire a new motorbike for effectiveness of our work. Great thanks for this noble donation from Harvest Time Church. This goes a long way in making our movement easier. God bless.

Just like many other organizations, Give Amore depends on transportation to get almost, if not all, of its job done; therefore, our recent acquisition of a motorcycle goes a very long way in ensuring this good work keeps yielding affirmative change in many lives in western Kenya.

You might wonder, why a motorcycle? Well, despite them being a very popular means of transport in rural Kenya, they are the only effective alternative in accessing very remote areas where even a small car can’t due to poor road network. They are fast and easily maneuver foot paths to get help to those who need it most.

Their durability, reliability and efficacy have stood the test of time and have proven to be the bedrock to the wins we celebrate today. We pray this new acquisition does just that for the many more times ahead for the glory of God and service to mankind.

Thank You for Listening to God

God is so good. All the time! Sometimes, it seems that He’s not responding to our prayers or maybe just not responding in the timing or in the way we want Him to respond. But that does not mean He’s not hearing us. Often, He has greater plans for us than we have for ourselves and He’s working it all out. Well, that’s absolutely what happened with Give Amore the past few months! It’s been such an exciting adventure watching God move mountains and all we had to do was sit still, pray, trust. Often, those things are the hardest things to do! Sit. Pray. Trust. We want to get into action and move but in some situations it’s completely out of our hands and it’s been pretty amazing to see Him at work!

Below, you will see a few absolutely amazing updates from our ministry. We are truly making a difference and impacting lives for His kingdom. I so wish I could bring you all to Kenya with me someday soon so you could meet these incredible, hard working people. They are desperate for education, skills, jobs, opportunity and are taking advantage of every opportunity Give Amore provides. I love watching them thrive and contribute to their families and communities!

We hope you take a few minutes to read these brief updates of just a few of the stories we have to tell. There’s many more where these come from! Thank you for your support that makes this all happen! We truly are the hands and feet of Jesus and it matters!

God bless you and make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

Your Sister in Christ,

Christa Horst

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

The Joy of Water Overflowing-47th Clean Water Well Complete!

As our hearts overflow with joy and love we are glad to report that Another community is celebrating a new well that was commissioned and gifted to them after many years of plight to end their water problem. Located in the village of Ebuhayi Shisiru location. This well brings our total wells completed to 47, a mark way beyond our projection all thanks to your thoughtful generosity.

Sighting water was marvelous but the notion that the same water is providing solutions to tens of families or even more is humbling, satisfying and glorifying to our efforts in realizing our vision of providing long lasting remedy to the massive water menace in western Kenya communities.

This community comprises of tens of families; forming the primary beneficiaries and also being the chief caretakers of its sustainability throughout its years of service to come. Alongside providing clean water to the community, it will be saving women and children valuable time that was prior lost in long treks in search of water, that now can be invested in industry.

It is a huge motivation to reminisce of how far our consolidated efforts in this partnership have changed lives remarkably over time and be hopeful of what the future holds. Further, everyday gratitude and joy exuded by communities such as this one imparts in us the understanding of how it is to be the hands and feet of Christ.

More Tailors Catapulted to Independence

We are excited to report more graduates from our sewing class after five other brilliant young women graduated after successfully completing a six months training on everything embroidery. And because of your love and generosity, they each received a sewing machine to help catapult them into a future of possibilities.

These beautiful women further exhibited their prowess in design and dress creation by each making their own dresses of choice and rocking them as their own models. Further, they kept the dresses as souvenir of their productive days at Give Amore as well as a reminder of the second chance they got at life.

Some are married, others single mothers while others school dropouts, however, this program gives them an opportunity at making it in life by not only providing them with skills but also equipment to set up local businesses and later give back to their communities in different ways they can. We are proud of them and so thankful to those of you who continue to make this a great success. God bless.

A Boost for the Computer Training Program

Everyday there is an increase demand for digital literacy. At the end of last year, our FREE community computer training program started seeing a spike in the admission of new students. Mostly young people who just graduated from high school yearning for computer literacy skills in order to meet the rising technological digital world demand. However, our main challenge was that we had very few computer machines to meet the rising high demand. We only had 4 working computers serving over 30 students in each class.

We are glad to report that we got a donation of 7 more computers. This was through Pastor Ed and Anita in their recent visit to Kenya. This has really boosted this program and made it more effective. We are so thankful to the donors who gave, we now have a total of 11 computers which has made the training program more equipped. We are still in need of more training tools and we trusting God to provide. God bless to those of you who continue to make this a success.

With Gratitude We Present our Requests to God

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
— Philippians 4:6

Faithful Partners,

We have so much good news to share with you every single day! However, due to time and attention constraints most of us have, we try to summarize a few amazing updates each month to give you a snapshot of what it is your support is actually doing! Though it’s hard to share what is happening emotionally and spiritually with all those we impact on a daily basis, we hope these articles warm your heart to see just a tiny snippet of the people we are impacting!

I’m still in shock that we’ve been impacting lives for over 10 years and all that God has done through our tiny but mighty ministry! We are not done! But, right now, the harvest is great and the workers are few. We need significantly more funds to finish paying 2025 school fees (due in June) for our children. School is not free in Kenya. With the average Kenyan in our area  earning just over $1 per day, having funds to cover school fees, school uniforms, supplies, shoes, and food are not likely. They depend on private support to help make it possible which is why so few children go to school or can continue past elementary (when the cost significantly increases). And we all know, if there’s a way out of poverty it comes through education.

Give Amore tries to tackle this current issue with our FREE computer training and FREE tailoring school to support those who are willing to put in the time and effort for a better future. Getting children to school is fundamental and where it starts.

Most of our children are not currently sponsored. We use general funds to cover everything. When we did have the children “sponsored", it was $50 per month per child. Now, it costs over $135 per month per child (average) for our sponsorship program. You can see the huge shortfall.

We currently need $10,000 ($250 per child) in May to be able to fund the remaining school fees balance. It seems impossible. But God!!!

Please join us in prayer, in support, in sharing our mission with others and join us in watching in awe as God provides. We know He is able.

Thank you for your support. It’s life changing and life saving!

With Gratitude,

Christa Horst

EUNICE EARNING A LIVING FROM HOME.

Meet Eunice, a 23-year-old, a mother of two, sewing program alumnus taking on the world after learning how to fish courtesy of your support through Give Amore. Having graduated from our tailoring program a few months ago, she put together her skills, sewing kit, and sewing machine and the outcome is amazing.

Due to economic challenges and lack of enough capital to rent a shop, she decided to work from home. And we can happily report that she is doing well. With her husband unemployed, this business is her sole livelihood earner that keeps her family fed and her child in school. She recounts how hard it was at first to put everything together but is thankful at how word of mouth made her embroidery enterprise go viral in her remote village and beyond.

Currently she has a myriad of customers who visit her home  daily in need of her services which include dress making, repair works and training. She hopes to save enough in order to set up a shop in the nearby market in the long run and be able to do more for the community that she loves and resides in. She is so thankful to Give Amore for the opportunity to learn. This has really transformed her life.
