Irene Nafula

Before graduating from our program in 2019, Miss. Irene had a bleak, uncertain future ahead of her but 16 months on, her story has changed for the best. Married with three kids, this wonderful woman started her sewing business from home so as to balance between her daily activities and raising her three kids. She is twenty seven years old.

Elizabeth Mangala

She runs a tailoring shop in her village market whose proceeds help keep her family afloat economically. Her three children are in school and well provided for. Further, she mentors others as her way of giving back to her community.

Dorcas Mulinga

Cheerful Dorcas lives with her three grandchildren whilst working from home. Her sewing business journey kicked off a few months following her graduation from our tailoring school about a year ago and ever since she has never looked back. This venture supports her family financially while keeping her occupied and productive. She majors in children and women clothes as well as all round repairs. She is 47 years old.

Lynda Awiti

Famously known as the “tote bag lady” in her village, Lynda finally embraced her long time passion of making tote bags and made it the center of her sewing business. Working from home due to constraints tagged to Covid 19, Miss. Awiti, 30, is determined to make her business grow through word of mouth advertising and door to door sales with the help of her husband. She also knits dresses and all round repairs.

Harriet mwira

After her graduation from the Made with Amore tailoring school, Harriet, 33, hit the ground running and put up her now home tailoring business, something she is marveled at and thankful for. Speaking to her, she asserted that her skills and prayers are paying off immensely and she is looking forward to a better tomorrow as her business grows. She makes women attires as well as doing all round repairs from home.

Everline Adhhiambo

So happy and glad to have her sewing machine, Miss. Adhiambo channeled her expertise, time and energy into starting her promising sewing business after she graduated from our tailoring school two years ago. Motivated yet uncertain, this mother of three turned her living room her office a venture that is paying off given that her family is well taken care of and her confidence reinforced.  She hopes to start her own shop in the future.

Minel Omamo

Miss. Minel, 25, and a mother of one graduated from Give Amore’s tailoring school at a time when starting any business wasn’t deemed a good idea but all the same she went claws in and her venture is taking shape business wise. Despite working from home, she gets a stream of clients from her village in need of clothe repairs and more. Her profits help keep her family afloat financially and hopes to own her own shop in the near future.

Halima

Being a mother and Caretaker of four never stopped her from following her lifelong dream of being a seamstress. As a fresh graduate from Give Amore’s tailoring school, she made it her goal to be the woman she wanted to become and guess what? She did. Currently Halima runs her business from her village shopping center and from her view, it is working for her in ways she never imagined. As a team of change, we are grateful to be part of her success. Halima, 30, is a ‘sole breadwinner in her household and happy wife.

Violet Makokha

This mother of four and a single mom runs her tailoring business from home courtesy Covid 19 and her lack of capital to get her own place for business. Further, Violet, 30, is also the sole bread winner for her family and greatly appreciates the irreversible positive impact this program has had on her family both financially and esteem wise.

Joy Vihenda

Just as her first name suggests, Miss. Joy translated her prior mystery into her greatest joy after taking our tailoring classes for six months for free. Joy, 28, is in a better place in contrast to where she was before and running her business from home has been easier than before. Despite Covid 19 restrictions, she hopes to own her own workshop in the near future. As a hardworking momma as she is, there is a great potential lying ahead for Joy.

Mary Anyanzwa

Despite being kicked out from her home by her two drunk husbands, Mary held and kept her faith alight and after her graduation from Made with Amore, her tailoring business has never been her greatest refuge. Currently her business helps keep her children in school and the most amazing news is, she built her home from it. She becomes our most successful woman from this program.

Diana Shisia

Diana used to have a tailoring shop in her village market but had to quit to take care of her twin grandchildren after her daughter was raped in order to get her back to school. The most inspiring aspect is her commitment to keep her business running despite living in one of the most remote villages in western Kenya. Celebrating her 50th birthday this month, she is grateful that this venture not only provide for her grandchildren, but also helps educate her daughter.

Phyllis Jamosa

Her success is drawn from her passion for children clothes, an endeavor she dedicatedly committed to stick by. Living with her mother after being evicted from her matrimonial home, Miss. Jamosa, 38, has never gave up on the hope of giving her son a future she dreamt of all thanks to Give Amore. She works from home and given that her home is strategically located, her business picked up real quick and it’s paying off.

Blessings Masimba

As a little girl, Blessings, 40, never thought her future would be as it is now. From her mad thatched home, her future seemed bleak and at some point none at all.  Currently, after graduating from our program, she owns her own shop and strives to grow it even further through her stream of clients. Childless and thrown out from her marital home due to her inability to bear children, she gained her purpose in taking care of her sister’s children and mentoring others.

Julie Owano

Miss. Julie’s determination got her in her tailoring business, but her hard work is keeping her there. Despite venturing in women and children clothes, she is the most exceptional of all to dare and try out men’s attires. Her love for what she does exudes how much her pain isn’t spared for waste. She currently runs her own shop in her village market and hopes to grow it into a fashion brand.
