In the recent past, the giving paradigm has shifted from giving out of financial endowment and stimulus to giving from the heart. The latter has, however, been mainly associated with adults who sacrifice heftily from their income to help support a variety of needs in the charity spectrum.
Nevertheless, a first grade class in Austin Texas is redefining and taking the art of ‘giving from the heart’ a notch higher when they dug into their piggy banks and donated school books mounting to $85 to Give Amore’s primary school children courtesy of funds raised from their classroom holiday party.
The books were largely story books, both English and Swahili, which has not only boosted our community library’s stock, but also will go a long way in instilling a reading culture in our growing sponsored children and quenching thirsts of their curious minds while enriching their grammar and spelling knowledge.
This is giving redefined and Give amore is proud and encouraged by the love from these young stars and much more humbled by the new trend set.
