With the 7th borehole complete and flowing with clean safe water for general consumption, Give Amore is up to its next task of digging yet another well, the 8th in her accomplishments of wells.
The blessing this time will be situated in Elvis’s home (one of our sponsored children), a location whose close proximity to the village’s all-weather road distinguishes it as a better option to render the well to the village and therefore also bless the lager community.
The women in this village make multiple two mile treks to a single open underground water source to fetch this fundamental livelihood commodity and thus risk contracting waterborne infections like cholera, bilharzia, etc. and also perilous bites from snakes, mud crabs, centipedes etc. as they wade in the muddy waters with bare feet whilst trying to access the main water collection point.
Therefore, the 8th well like its predecessors, will not only be just another borehole, but the 8th well of wellness via providing myriad of solutions to the numerous water needs in the village and the vast community.
