Meet Faith, a 31-year-old mother of three, is living proof that skills can open doors to a brighter future. As a proud graduate of our tailoring program, she has turned the knowledge and tools she received through Give Amore into a thriving home-based business. Since completing the program in June last year, she has combined her training, sewing kit, and machine to create work that is both beautiful and life-changing.
With limited capital and economic challenges standing in her way, Faith chose not to let obstacles define her. Unable to rent a shop, she transformed her home into her workshop — a place where creativity meets resilience. Today, her sewing business is the heartbeat of her household, providing food for her family and keeping her children in school, even as her husband remains unemployed.
The journey was far from easy. In the beginning, she struggled to bring everything together, but her determination and the power of word-of-mouth carried her forward. Her embroidery and tailoring services have now gained recognition well beyond her village, attracting customers daily for dressmaking, repairs, and training.
Faith’s vision is clear — to save enough to open a shop in the nearby market, where she can serve more people and create opportunities for others in her community. She is deeply grateful to Give Amore for equipping her with skills that have not only transformed her life but also given her the courage to dream bigger and aim higher.
Currently she has a myriad of customers who visit her home daily in need of her services which include dress making, repair works and training. She hopes to save enough in order to set up a shop in the nearby market in the long run and be able to do more for the community that she loves and resides in. She is so thankful to Give Amore for the opportunity to learn. This has really transformed her life.
